We first heard of the Jem Cubil and Andrea Babierra duo in “The Morning After,” a soundtrack of the Viva Films movie “Meet Me In St. Gallen” which starred Bela Padilla and Carlo Aquino. Their debut track gained a lot of traction and landed at #1 on Spotify’s Philippines Viral 50 chart on Valentines Day of 2018.
Recently, the two met again for the soundtrack of “Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story),” contributing a new single “Heartbeats,” written by actress Alessandra De Rossi.
You’d think that the duo would lay low after their last single became number 1. But Jem and Andrea don’t disappoint, and right now, they’re on fire! Today, only a few weeks after its release, “Heartbeats” made its way to the top again, landing at #1 on Spotify’s Philippines Viral 50 chart!
Now, Jem and Andrea officially have two hit tracks in a row, which leaves us without a doubt that if they ever decide to meet again for a next single, they’ll once again make waves in the local music scene!
Also on Spotify’s Viral chart is the original “‘Di Na Muli” by Itchyworms and the “‘Di Na Muli” rendition by Janine Teñoso, both soundtracks of “Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story),” starring Anne Curtis and Dingdong Dantes — still showing in cinemas nationwide.
