This feat not only underscores the label’s local dominance but also highlights its enduring commitment to nurturing and promoting homegrown talent.
The tracks that propelled Viva Records to this chart-filling position include No. 1 OPM band Cup Of Joe and its soulful collaboration with Janine titled “Tingin,” R&B soul solo act Cean Jr with his infectious hit “YK” (under OC Records, an affiliate label of Viva), and solo pop singer Rhodessa and her breakout hit “Kisame.”
These songs respectively claimed the 4th, 8th, and 9th positions in the Spotify ranking thereby cornering a significant chunk of the Top 10 charts’ market share.
