On-the-rise Pinoy Pop group pix!e’s member Kath wowed the audience with her seamless entrance during their “Iced Coffee” set at Viva Café’s Feb-ibig Night Show, a Valentine’s gig held on February 13.
In a viral post by X user @stakupop, pix!e Kath was praised for the professionalism she demonstrated. With 8.5K likes as of this writing, the post also contains the actual clip of her entrance and an Instagram story from her bus ride to the venue from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños, with the caption “Wait 4 me.”
Another user in the replies said, “an iska from uplb and a ppop idol at the same time??? oh the world needs to learn about this diva.”
Still in her university outfit and school ID, cheers roared from the crowd and chants from pixels (their fanbase) grew louder as she joined the rest of the group in their performance. After the set, pix!e members Nicole, Hana, Mita, Jane and Pearl hugged Kath, expressing their joy that she made it to perform with them.
In a short interview, pix!e Kath shared that she had a laboratory class that she couldn’t miss. She got stuck in slow traffic around Los Baños on the way to Viva Café due to the UPLB Feb Fair, which was held on the same day. Taking advantage of the situation instead, she did her makeup during the ride.
“Nasa isip ko no’n, ‘Kahit anong mangyari, hahabol ako.’ Kahit hindi po ako makaabot sa performance, habol po ako para sa fans,” pix!e Kath said. “From the outside ng venue, naririnig ko na ‘yung ‘Iced Coffee.’ Naririnig ko na ‘yung intro bago mag-chorus so nasa isip ko no’n, ‘Hala, tatakbo na ‘ko. Kahit anong mangyari, hahabol ako sa performance,’ so kahit may suot po akong ID…binigay po sa’kin ‘yung mic,” she added.
pix!e Kath emphasized that she did it for the fans. “I think deserve po talaga nila makakita ng OT6 performance. No matter what happens, I’ll always show up po.”
To close the interview, pix!e Kath addressed her fans and thanked them for the support and overflowing love. “Thank you for your appreciation. Sobrang natuwa ako na na-recognize niyo ‘yung aming professionalism and ‘yung dedication namin as a group for you.”
