In a recent announcement by Chart Data PH, singer-songwriter Janine Teñoso has dethroned Moira dela Torre as the most streamed OPM female artist on Spotify.
Teñoso’s achievement was revealed last Sunday, November 12, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Known for hits like “’Di Na Muli,” Janine is currently in the spotlight promoting her latest single “Sandig.” Her resurgence in popularity is attributed not only to her solo releases but also to collaborations, notably with Baguio-based band Cup Of Joe. The duo’s track “Tingin,” released in April, has garnered close to 20 million streams on Spotify to date.
Though Moira dela Torre relinquished her position, her run lasted 748 days (over 2 years).
Janine recently dropped her surname, opting to go by just “Janine.”
