Chart-topping artist Janine Teñoso kickstarts the year 2024 with the much-anticipated release of her latest single, “Hulaan.” The track not only showcases Janine’s vocal prowess but also marks a collaboration with Alvin Serito, the singer-guitarist from renowned band Sunkissed Lola.
Known for her hit singles with artists like Arthur Nery and Cup Of Joe, Janine continues to push creative boundaries by joining forces with Alvin Serito. Their artistic synergy shines through as they co-wrote “Hulaan,” a song that unraveled its narrative over three months of collaborative sessions in 2023.
In a statement, Janine expressed, “We just wanted to have fun, me and Bino. The song is about a guy who keeps appearing in my dreams, and ‘Hulaan’ is what Bino and I came up with.”
The release follows Janine’s recent success with “Tingin,” a collaboration with Cup Of Joe that has amassed over 51 million streams on Spotify alone and earned the prestigious Collaboration of The Year award at the recent “Wish Music Awards.”
Janine also shares her aspiration to “write and record a song with the Sunkissed Lola” in the future.
As one of the headlining acts for the upcoming modern harana concert, “ILYSM (I Love You So Much),” scheduled for February 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Janine takes center stage alongside fellow young hitmakers such as Arthur Nery, Adie, Rob Deniel, Rhodessa, mrld, and guest artist ALAMAT.
“Hulaan” marks Janine’s first solo release since “Sandig” in mid-2023, and it is set to captivate audiences across all streaming platforms starting Friday, January 26, 2024.
