Mononymous music act rhodessa and her song “Kisame” is now the top song in the Viral 50 Philippines playlist on Spotify.
“Kisame” finally rose to the number one spot on said playlist during the long weekend.
Released back in February, “Kisame” has been gaining a lot of attention on Spotify’s playlist. The track made its debut on said chart a couple of weeks back, initially entering at the eleventh spot and then worked its way up to number three last week.
This is the first Number One achievement for the singer-songwriter who made her record label debut back in 2021.
With “Kisame,” rhodessa has already more than doubled her previous 1 million-plus streamed achievement with “Isa Dalawa Tatlo.”
The sound of rhodessa and “Kisame” can be described as mellow alternative pop. The singer commented that her music is “perfect for vibing on a sunny beach afternoon or those cold rainy mornings.” She adds that the song is “about missing a distant love.”
“Kisame” is also on top of local playlist Pinoy Pop Playlist 2023.
