“Miss Granny” OST OUT NOW

No Comments News

“Miss Granny” is the Philippine reimagining of the hit Korean movie of the same title. The movie’s premise is rife for fun as our protagonist taps into a fountain of youth of sorts which returns her to her prime.  For Sarah Geronimo, it’s an excuse to dig deep into a treasure trove of classic tunes from pop’s golden era. First of which is “Kiss Me Kiss Me” – a catchy little ditty that Sarah G brings to life once again with her spirited take.

There’s more of course, among them “Forbidden” another oldie but goodie from the dusted songbook of yesteryear.  And a new song called “Isa Pang Araw” written by Miguel  Mendoza (recorded by SG of course) which somehow fits the throwback concept of the OST.

But a must-hear is SG’s version of the Boy Mondragon gem “Rain.” We’ve always known that Sarah G has a knack for turning the songs that she covers into definitive versions, but on this one, she surpasses her previous, and it just gives us chills. Of the good kind of course!

Also included here is young ingénue Ataska Mercado who almost steals the show with a spirited take on “Pangarap Na Bituin.”
