A lot is in store for the many fans of the ever-radiant Ms. Regine Velasquez- Alcasid! In a press conference held on October 5, 2017, at the B Hotel in Quezon City, a recollection of RVA’s feats took place — Here, with the entertainment press on hand, Regine recalled a couple of the most memorable concerts and movies she has starred in. It was a delight listening to the anecdotes, but Regine did point out that all of it became possible because of her being a singer first.

That is why our very own Asia’s Songbird is making music that main thrust of celebratory activities to commemorate her iconic 30 years in entertainment.

Beginning with the “R3.0” concert. A two-night music extravaganza of the singer’s biggest hits. Besides the songs, and the guest artists, which include Sarah Geronimo, Angeline Quinto, and Jed Madela among others. RVA also revealed that the repertoire on each night will be significantly different.

Then there’s the “R3.0” the album. A massive 3-disc CD that includes 30 songs.  Comprising her greatest hits, re-imagined pop hits and new original recordings, the new set is divided into the following themed discs namely “Renditions,” “Rise,” and “Reflections.”

“Renditions” will house ten choice RVA covers. These tracks are the songbird’s past and current favorites as re-imagined by the multi-platinum singer. One of the tracks in ‘Renditions’ is the classic Up Dharma Down original ‘Tadhana’.

Rise, on the other hand, is a collection of ten new songs, all original as hand-picked by Regine Velasquez- Alcasid. The first single, released in September, is ‘Hugot’, a heart-rending ballad. The soulful track is but a preview of the 9 other classic hits the singer offers in ‘Rise’.

Last but not the least is Reflections. For 30 years, we have been graced with hit singles from RVA. In this album, the singer gives us an avenue to reminisce and recall the past decades with re-recordings of her best hits like ‘You Are My Song,” “Dadalhin,” and more!

The 3-disc commemorative album will be available on October 21, coinciding with the first day of her 2-Night concert (October 21 and 22) in the Mall of Asia Area. The physical 3-CD album will be exclusively sold at the venue.

Save the date! And witness the ever-radiant star shine once again in R3.0
