‘”Tingin” by The MNY an ode to love’

Manila, Philippines — The MNY, the band featuring Paul Maris on vocals and guitar, Christian Vallejo on drums, and Dan Manangan on bass, has just released their highly anticipated second single titled “Tingin.” Following the fan-approved success of their debut track “Sakali,” their latest sees The MNY delving deep into their modern pop rock sounds and vibes.

Under the Vicor Music label, The MNY (read as  D-M-N-Y) has been building up to be one of the most promising young bands in the scene today with their spirited performances distinct sound and infectious melodies.

Paul Maris, the lead vocalist and guitarist of The MNY, shares the inspiration behind “Tingin”: “This song is about experiencing genuine love and recognizing it in the eyes of another. It’s about making sacrifices for love, no matter the obstacles that may arise.”

Speaking of obstacles, the band saw itself revamping after a personnel shakeup. With their lead guitarist bolting the group, the band was faced with the challenge of recalibrating their dynamic. However, they swiftly adapted, with friends stepping up to support them during this transitional period.

“There are some who really gave their all-out support to the band and we came up with ideas and concepts that we can all solidly lay it all for our listeners,” said Maris.

Additionally, their label Vicor Music was on hand with in-house producer Jean Paul Verona helping to shape The MNY’s latest song while The MNY aims to forge a deeper connection with their audience. Through “Tingin,” they hope to convey the message that love should be given freely and unconditionally. Maris adds, “True love doesn’t beg; it gives wholeheartedly.”

With “Tingin,” The MNY invites listeners to join them on a journey of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms starting April 5, 2024.
